Mrs. Dawn Marie LaRose Piper - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Dawn Marie LaRose Piper, 38, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 on Tybee Island. She was born in Savannah and lived on Tybee Island most of her life. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1990 and was employed by Tytan Advertising Group. She attended St. Michael's Catholic Church on Tybee Island and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island. Dawn will always be remembered by her beautiful smile and "take charge" personality. She loved her family, her many friends, playing horseshoes, singing karaoke, dancing, boating and bingo. She would always lend a helping hand where ever she was needed. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Lawrence "Alan" Piper, Jr.;daughter, Hanna, age 13 and son, Trey, age 9; mother,Mary "Ardie" Simmons; step-father, Robert E. Simmons; father, Willis D. LaRose Sr.; step-mother, Rosalee A. LaRose; brother, Dale LaRose (Laura); sister, Wendy Arbogast; in-laws, Jack and Karin Hosti Hogan, Larry & Donna Piper; grandparents, Donald and Becky LaRose, Ernest "Pop Pop" Hosti, Lillian Piper, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for Dawn's children at The Savannah Bank under the name of Alan Piper.
